Interesting facts about Krabi Town Thailand
Krabi Town is a provincial capital in southern part of Thailand. The place is gaining popularity as a Tourist destination but still a rather undeveloped region. But luckily it still retains a rich natural environment. You would find that the Krabi Town is stuck in the last century. This is part of the charm of this town inhabited by roughly 35,000 people. The pace of life still very relaxed. But you would find that there is reasonable development of modern infrastructure.
In matter of tourist attractions, if you are interested to visit religious places, there are some lovely places like Tiger Cave and Wat Kaew Korawaram.. You can take a riverside walk .From here you can easily travel to Emerald Pond or Khao Ngon Nak Viewpoint .You would be able to see lots of beautiful tropical islands of various shapes and sizes.
Tiger Cave Temple or Wat Tham Sua
It offers a spiritual experience in extra ordinary natural surroundings. This Temple is very near the Krabi Town. This can be treated as the finest natural wonder. This is a must visit place. There is a lush jungle surrounding the natural caves. There are monks who worship and live in this beautiful environment. The actual attraction here is the ‘footprint of the Buddha. The problem to reach this place is climbing 1,272 steps. It is a quite difficult climb and especially in the humid climate of Thailand. But if you can climb this, you can see a panoramic 360 degrees view of the beautiful Andaman Sea, tropical islands, rainforests and ‘the Buddha’s footprint’. The scenic beauty is very stunning at the time of sunrise and sunset.
Khao Khanab Nam Mountains
This 100 meter high mountain is like gateway to Krabi City. The River is running between the two limestone cliffs forming beauty spot. Inside, the mountains hide a very spiritual site, caves with collections of stalagmites and stalactites are definitely worth exploring. The location is known for the large number of human skeletons that have been found here. There is a huge debate the reasons for their death.
This is in the Thung Teao Forest Natural Park. This is an unusual lowland forest. This place is rich in bio-diversity .This place has got a nature trail and a crystal lagoon. Located in the Khao Pra-Bang Kram area, this nature trek is a superb place to spot rare animals and plant species including the Pitta Gurney bird. This was once considered to be extinct. There are age-old trees stretching up to the sky. There are unusual forest creatures and limestone foothills. There is a dazzling green pool. Pra-Bang Khram area which is located next to the Bang Teao Village, about 40 minutes drive from Krabi Town.
Krabi Hot Springs
This is a therapeutic and soothing ‘hot tubs’. The water is coming from smooth rock from deep rooted thermal springs from volcanic chambers. The average temperature of the water is 35-40 degree Celsius. This contains natural mineral salts. It is claimed that this cure many types of health complaints including rheumatism and sciatica.

I stayed there for 2 days. The stay was amazing. Immediately after returning, I have started planning for the next visit. The rooms are very comfortable.
